Kat, with all the horribleness of being the new kid in town, tries to cope with middle-school and being the furthest thing from the in-crowd. To make matters worse, Kat struggles with having a loving but “uncool” mom who happens to interact with dead people. Given the possibility that she too may possess this very gift, Kat and her best friend come to terms with their own talents while helping free a spirit trapped at their school.
